3 Days, 4 Stages, Over 75 Bands and DJs, Camping, Bars, Markets, Swimming areas. Located in the surrounding bushland of Goolabri Golf Course, on the ACT border literally only 9 mins from Dickson. Free camping for ticket holders. If Camping isn't your cup of tea, buses will run between the festival, Civic and Dickson every day. Over18's event We are a not for profit event once again raising mental health awareness and will be making a donation to beyondblue at the conclusion of the event. HISTORY

The Rest Is....

Summer Rhythm Festival debuted in December 2009 with an outstanding success. In 2011 it was moved to February and went from a small one day event into one of Canberra's more noteworthy festivals with 3 stages, camping, and markets. The Festival looks to be bigger and better this year and continues to be a not for profit event, Raising Mental Health Awareness.

Supported by the local community and presented by Strange Hours, the Summer Rhythm vision is to raise general awareness of mental health and broaden peoples musical exposure, as a multiple day festival crossing over varying rhythm packed musical genres and scenes.

Wildlife is frequently killed or injured in the area - that would be a fairly average start or finish to your festival, and their day would probably be no good either. If you do injure an animal in NSW, call Wildcare on 02 6299 1966.http://www.wildcare.com.au/From CanberraFrom Northbourne Avenue, head North towards Sydney.Northbourne Avenue becomes the Federal Highway on which you remain.Once you cross the NSW/ACT border, take the next exit on the left (off ramp), turn right to cross over highway on over pass to the end which becomes a "T" intersection.Landmarks include Rydges Eaglehawk on the right and United Service Station directly in front.Turn left on the Federal Highway Service Road which runs parrallel to the Federal Highway in the direction of Sydney.Drive approximately 3.5 kilometres and turn right into Goolabri Drive. The entrance to Goolabri Drive is marked on either side with brick walls displaying "Sutton Park" signs.Follow Goolabri Drive to the top of the hill, just past the roundabout, then take the very first right and put you are here. From SydneyFrom Hume Highway take left exit to Canberra (FEDERAL HIGHWAY)Continue for approximately 58Km and take left exit to Queanbeyan (SUTTON ROAD)At the top of the off ramp, turn left towards Queanbeyan. After approximately 200 metres, turn right onto the FEDERAL HIGHWAY SERVICE ROAD.After approximately 780m turn left into Goolabri Drive. STALLHOLDERS STALLHOLDERSGeneral InfoWe are aiming to create an even more vibrant market atmosphere this year than at previous festivals. We'd like to encourage locally based stalls to apply in particular, but we welcome applications from anywhere. Stall TypesFood Stalls At a 3 day camping event, nourishment is essential so stalls selling fresh, tasty, healthy, and just plain satisfying food is what we want. Australian and organic foods are ideal. Preference is given to stallholders who are environmentally conscious, using sustainably sourced and biodegradable utensils, cleaning products etc. Clothing & Non-Edibles StallsClothing, accessories and other funky stalls contribute so much to the atmosphere of the festival, and we'd love to see as much variety as possible. This region is not swamped with markets so if you are travelling a distance to get here, chances are we haven't seen your stuff for a while so make the most of it! Preference is given to stallholders supporting a sustainable fashion industry.Community StallsIf you are a community organisation, group or business who may have relevance to this festival and would like to set up a stall, please get in touch and we'll see where you fit in. INFORMATION INFORMATIONCONDITIONS OF ENTRYGates open Friday 9th December at 10am. No entry before this time. Summer Rhythm is set on the grounds of Goolabri Resort and Golf Course, Goolabri has been very generous to let us use their property so please respect the site and follow the rules.Anyone found on the golf course or the resort grounds that are not part of the festival site will be ejected from the festival and legal action will be taken.Summer Rhythm is an 18+ event. Proof of age I.D. will be required to enter the event and may be checked at any time. Children 10 and under will be admitted free of charge but must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or legal guardian at all times.This is NOT a BYO event. We will have well stocked bars in the festival grounds. DO NOT bring any alcohol. Any alcohol found in camp grounds will be confiscated.Security staff will be patrolling the campgrounds but please do not leave anything valuable in your tents.If you do see a theft taking place, please alert a member of the security staff or report it to the information tent.YOUR WRISTBAND MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES Do not tamper with it and only remove it when you are on your way home.Pass-outs will be available, however if you chose to leave you must park you car in the general parking. People who enter the camping grounds will not be able to get their car out until the festival is over. And you must wear you wristband for the duration of the event. Even off site. If it is removed it is void.Smokers please dispose of your butts thoughtfully and dont butt out on the ground.Take care under trees, branches can drop at anytime and please don't climb them.No swimming in any Dams outside swimming hours.No stage diving, crowd surfing, moshing or aggressive behaviour.Summer Rhythm Festival has a philosophy of Non-Violence, both physical and verbal. We generally don't have problems & we all like it that way :)Follow all terms and conditions of saleTRAFFIC & PARKINGDo not Drink and Drive. See 'Getting There' for bus details.Keep all Roads Clear. No parking of any part of your vehicle on roads throughout the festival, they will be towed out of the way if they restrict emergency service vehicle access.10km/hour speed limit or walking pace for all vehicles at all times on the festival site.Park in the general parking if you intend on leaving (or returning) at any stage before the festival ends.LEAVE NO TRACEThis is a Leave No Trace event. You are responsible for everything you bring onsite, including the waste you generate. No facilities for general waste collection will be provided. Clean and sorted aluminium cans, plastic bottles and cardboard can be deposited at one of the recycling stations onsite. Please co-operate out of self respect, respect for the hard working event organisers/private property owners, and respect for our environment.WHAT YOU SHOULD BRINGYour ticket!!!Directions. It's pretty easy and takes about 10 minutes by car from Dickson.If you are camping; tent, sleeping mat/ress, doona, pillows, warm blankets or sleeping bag.Shade for your campsite, eg. tarp and poles. Will add 100% to your experience.Lightweight camping furniture, eg. folding table, chairs. Led flashlight or head torch and spare batteries, a camp light.Sunscreen, Sunglasses, hat, insect repellant.Personal hygiene items.Any personal medication if required.Really warm clothes and waterproof clothes in case it rains.Gumboots if it looks like it is going to be wet.Money, there is no ATM on siteDecorations to pimp out your campsite.Good shoes for wearing at night.Photo I.D. even if you look 60!Drinking Water for your campsite. There is drinking water available on site but it is much more convenient to have it with you when you arrive.WHAT YOU CAN'T BRINGNo dogs or animals of any kind.No bean bags, those little foam beads dont mix well with the natural environment when the beanbag breaks.No glass.No alcohol.No flame policy, no gas cookers, no gaslights, no candles, no fireworks. There is often a total fire ban at this time of year.No loud or offensive music that annoys your neighbours at anytime in the campground.DRINKING WATERThere will be free drinking water available from a signposted site on the festival grounds and in the general camping area.TOILETSToilets are located in the camping area and also in the festival area. If you see any problem or lack of cleaning please report it to the Information Tent. ThankyouTRESPASSERSThere will be no exceptions and legal action will be taken if anyone is found trespassing at Summer Rhythm festival. A zero tolerance policy is in place for anyone trying to gain entry without a valid ticket, by foot, vehicle or other means. Anyone assisting trespassers will be refused entry or ejected from the festival. Please do not attempt entry in any manner without a valid ticket or wristband trespass on private property, or approach or enter/exit the site by any other way, than the authorised entry/exit located at the main festival entry.NOISEEven though Summer Rhythm is set in a place that seems miles from anywhere we do still have neighbors and we dont want to upset them. (we want to be able to hold this event again) So when you go to your camp site please keep the noise to a minimum. No drums or loud music.If noise from your campsite is bothering your neighboring campers, at any time during the festival, you will be asked to turn it down. If you continue to create a disturbance to others camped around you and ignore warnings you may be asked to leave.
